Panelists talked about the incident at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. On March 28, 1979, a combination of equipment malfunctions, operator errors, and design flaws led to the most serious nuclear accident in American history. The accident occurred when a loss of coolant flow to the reactor core resulted in a partial core meltdown and the release of a small amount of radiation into the environment. Brent Glass moderated the discussion.
