Panelists talked about the incident at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. On March 28, 1979, a combination of equipment malfunctions, operator errors, and design flaws led to the most serious nuclear accident in American history. The accident occurred when a loss of coolant flow to the reactor core resulted in a partial core meltdown and the release of a small amount of radiation into the environment. Brent Glass moderated the discussion.

Following prepared remarks, the panelists responded to questions from the moderator and the audience. This event was held on the 25th anniversary of the Three Mile Island accident. close
