Jessica Lynch talked about her biography, written with Rick Bragg, I Am a Soldier Too: The Jessica Lynch Story, published by Vintage. Former Army Private First Class (Pfc.) Jessica Lynch was captured in March 2003 after her maintenance company came under attack during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Eleven of her fellow soldiers were killed in the attack and Pfc. Lynch was held hostage for eight days before being rescued by American Special Forces who raided her hospital in Nasiriya. Ms. Lynch spoke about her ordeal and her experiences upon her return to the U.S as well as her plans for the future, which include becoming an elementary school teacher. Following her remarks she answered questions from members of the audience. close
