Mr. Kay, former chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq, talked about emerging threats to national security. The speech focused on threats from weapons of mass destruction and possible countermeasures. Among the other topics addressed were the importance of human intelligence, the situation in Iraq prior to the recent war, the current problems in Iraq, and the level of scientific and technical expertise in the U.S. government. Following prepared remarks, Mr. Kay responded to questions from the audience. close
