Peter Singer talked about his book The President of Good and Evil: The Ethics of George W. Bush, published by Dutton. He took a critical look at the ethical arguments made by President Bush in defending his policy decisions. Professor Singer assessed President Bush’s stance on limiting public funding for stem cell research, the president’s arguments in support of state’s rights, and the administration’s views on the killing of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq. After his presentation he responded to questions from members of the audience. close
