Raymond Gifford, President of the Progress & Freedom Foundation, moderated a panel discussion that related the Founding Fathers to the Internet and other communications developments. Aspen Institute President Walter Isaacson spoke about how Benjamin Franklin might feel about the World Wide Web: “He would definitely have a web site, but probably not a web log.” Temple University Law Professor David Post spoke about how Thomas Jefferson might feel about the Internet and his opinions on eighteenth century media and journalism.
