Coinciding with the dedication of the National World War II Memorial, an interfaith service of celebration and thanksgiving was held at the National Cathedral. During this portion of the ceremony, General Vessey (ret.) and former President Bush, both World War II veterans themselves, spoke about World War II, the monument, and their own experiences. This part of the service also featured music, as well as a brief reading by Brig. Gen. Baldwin. close
