NASA representatives spoke with reporters to give an overview of the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft mission to Saturn and its moon Titan. The mission, which was launched from Kennedy Space Center on October 15, 1997, was composed of two elements: the Cassini orbiter designed to orbit Saturn and its moons for four years, and the Huygens probe, scheduled to land on the surface of Titan in January 2005.

Video of the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft’s construction was presented as well. close
