Ms. Knepper talked about the book she edited, Dear Mrs. Roosevelt: Letters to Eleanor Roosevelt Through Depression and War, published by Carroll and Graf. The book contains letters that were written to Eleanor Roosevelt during the depression and World War II. They cover the concerns of individual Americans who wrote to her about their sufferings from discrimination and lack of social security.
