John Danforth, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and Sudanese Ambassador Elfatih Mohamed Ahmed Erwa spoke to reporters about the situation in Sudan. Mr. Danforth questioned the desire and ability of the Sudan government to resolve the crisis. Mr. Erwa said his government is willing to allow the presence of neutral African Union representatives for the purpose of monitoring only. close
