Mr. Edwards talked about his book Educating for Liberty: The First Half-Century of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, published by ISI books. Mr. Edwards discussed the history of the conservative movement and the creation of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. Mr. Edwards commented that the mission of ISI is to teach young people about the ideas of conservatism. He credited philosophers, politicians, philanthropists and others with helping to advance the ideals of conservatism. Mr. Edwards also recounted the growth of conservatism and argues that conservatives have to focus equally on their ideas and their actions to ensure future success. He also responded to questions from the audience. close
