Mr. Evans talked about his book They Made America: Two Centuries of Innovators from the Steam Engine to the Search Engine, published by Little, Brown. The book features 70 of America’s prominent entrepreneurs and innovators. Mr. Evans explains the difference between innovators and inventors and asserts that inventions are useless without great innovation. A video clip was shown of the four-part PBS series that was developed in tandem with the book. After the discussion, he answered questions from the audience. This event was held at the Woman’s National Democratic Club in Washington, DC. and co-hosted by the English-Speaking Union. close
