Bob Schieffer, host of CBS=TVs Face The Nation, talked about his book Face the Nation: My Favorite Stories from the First 50 Years of the Award-Winning News Broadcast, published by Simon and Schuster. He talked about his work as the host of the Sunday morning news show Face the Nation on CBS and the show’s previous 50 years of broadcasts including some of the more famous interviews with individuals such as Nikita Krushchev and Martin Luther King Jr. He also talked about the program’s coverage of major events such as September 11th and the war in Iraq and showed various video clips from the program.
