In an event at the 17th Annual Independent and Small Press Book Fair Anthony Arnove introduced Voices of a People’s History of the United States, published by Seven Stories Press. He co-edited the book with Howard Zinn. The book, a collection of writings by individuals in American history, is an outgrowth of Mr. Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States, which has sold 1 million copies since its publication in 1980. Wallace Shawn, Leslie Silva, Brendan Sexton III, Christina Kirk, Mario Murillo, and Brian Jones -- actors portraying some of the individuals featured in the book -- join Mr. Arnove for a selection of readings. close
