A press conference was held at the D.C. Superior Court where the American Bar Association American Jury Project released a proposal for modernizing jury service. An initiative headed by ABA President, Robert Grey, the American Jury Project is preparing to take 19 new proposals to a vote by ABA members. Remarks were also made by Justice O’Connor, New York (State) Chief Judge Judith Kaye, and Patricia Refo, Chair of the ABA American Jury Project. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, a former trial attorney and judge in Arizona, serves as Honorary Chair of the ABA’s Jury Commission. close
