Jim Martin talked about his book Bit of a Blue: The Life and Work of Frances Fuller Victor, published by Deep Well Publishing. The book was about the life and work of Frances Fuller Victor, a 19th century historian, poet, and reporter. Beginning her career in New York City, Mrs. Fuller made her way to the West Coast and eventually settled in Oregon. Her historical work included authoring several volumes of Bancroft’s History of the Pacific States. This talk at the Oregon Historical Society was in celebration of the 140th anniversary of Frances Fuller Victor’s arrival in Oregon. Mr. Martin takes questions from members of the audience following his remarks. close
