George Washington's Inaugural Bible
Mr. Johnson talked about the bible at George Washington’s swearing-in April 30, 1789. It had also been used for the inaugurations of Warren G. Harding, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush. The bible was on loan for display at the National Archives until January 25, 2005 by St. John’s Lodge No. 1 of the Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York. close
