“America and the Courts” featured Supreme Court Ten Commandments cases.

On Wednesday, March 2, 2005, the Supreme Court heard oral argument in two cases on the Ten Commandments. The first, Van Orden v. Perry, questioned the constitutionality of a monument to the Ten Commandments on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol. The second, McCreary County v. ACLU of Kentucky, questioned whether the Ten Commandments may be displayed inside a courthouse.

After oral argument, the lawyers who argued before the justices, and others who filed briefs in the case, spoke to reporters outside the Supreme Court building. close
