The guest discussed China’s recent passage of an “anti-succession” law which means that it could take military action against Taiwan if Taiwan decided to claim independence. Mr. Pei also discussed Secretary of State Rice’s trip to the region. He responded to audience telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail.
