Secretary Rumsfeld and General Pace held a town hall meeting in the Army Auditorium in the Pentagon to mark the two-year anniversary since the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom on March 19, 2003. Representatives of all DOD areas sat behind them. The secretary conveyed appreciation for all military personnel and civilians who have, or are, working in Iraq and expressed condolences to the families of persons killed in Iraq. Secretary Rumsfeld and General Pace answered questions from the audience of military personnel and Defense Department employees. close
