Catastrophe: Risk and Response
Judge Posner talked about his book Catastrophe: Risk and Response, published by Oxford University Press. He used cost-benefit analysis to explain why people focus on some potentially catastrophic events and ignore others. During his talk, Judge Posner applied this thinking to the recent tsunami in Asia, global warming, and terrorism. He also responded to questions from members of the audience following his remarks. close
