Jordanian King Abdullah II talked about U.S.-Jordan relations and was conferred an honorary degree by the faculty and trustees of Georgetown University. Among the topics he addressed were fostering democracy and reform in the Islamic world, the Arab-Israeli peace process, and economic development in the region. He was briefly interrupted by a protester in the balcony.
