The day before the official dedication of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, Illinois Richard Norton Smith conducted a tour of several of the exhibits that would open to the public highlighting President Lincoln’s life and presidency. He talked about the museum and resources available to both the public and scholars.
Louise Taper, a collector of Abraham and Mary Lincoln materials and co-editor of "Right or Wrong God Judge Me": The Writings of John Wilkes Booth, served as a historical consultant for the museum. She talked about collecting memorabilia and some of the items from her collection on display at the museum.
