The Senate Foreign Relations Committee met to discuss issues surrounding the nomination of John Bolton to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and vote on reporting the nomination to the full Senate. Several members expressed a desire to delay the consideration and vote until several new allegations about Mr. Bolton’s management style and questions about sworn statements he had made to the committee were raised. By consensus the committee agreed to meet in a month to reconsider the nomination after members had a chance to review materials related to their questions. close
