Mr. Boyles talked about his book Vile France: Fear, Duplicity, Cowardice and Cheese, published by Encounter Books. He wrote that the people of France dislike the United States and do so primarily because of concerns for their own global status. In the book he claimed that the French see international actions taken by the United States as opportunities to publicly criticize U.S. policy. Mr. Boyles maintained that France has been inadequate in handling their own domestic policy and problems such as a slowing national birthrate and increasing Muslim minority population, and as a result has chosen to focus on the United States in order to protect their own international image. close
