The Senate Foreign Relations Committee met to discuss issues surrounding the nomination of John Bolton to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and vote on reporting the nomination to the full Senate. The Committee voted along party lines to move the nomination to the floor of the Senate without recommendation, 10-8.

During his remarks Senator Voinovich explained his decision to vote against the nomination in the Senate due to Mr. Bolton’s management style which he said demonstrated arrogance and bullying to a degree that would result in firing from most private sector jobs. close
