Steven Levitt talked about the book he co-wrote, Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything, published by William Morrow. Steven Levitt applied the study of economics to everyday life in his book which he co-authored with Stephen Dubner, and examined the statistics of violent crime rate, poverty, and parenting. After analyzing data from Chicago drug-dealing gangs, he concluded that their corporate structure was similar to that of McDonald’s, where the salaries range from a six-figure income to below minimum wage. During the presentation he answered questions from the audience. close
