James Sasser, former U.S. ambassador to China and Shapiro Professor at the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs, gave the keynote address at the third annual U.S. Foreign Policy Colloquium on U.S.-China relations. In his remarks he addressed trade relations between the U.S. and China, congressional influence on and oversight of foreign policy, and China’s future role in the Pacific Rim. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience. close
