He talked about his book Hatchet Jobs: Cutting Through Contemporary Literature, published by New Press, and the concept of reviews as literary essays. He also commented on the state of the industry and the popularity of nonfiction books. He talked about his memoir, What We Lost: Based on a True Story, published by Houghton Mifflin, as an example of the crossover between fiction and nonfiction. He also talked about his forthcoming book, Drift House: The First Voyage, published by Bloomsbury USA Children’s Books. It is the first in a series of children’s book he wrote in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th. close
