Mr. Powell talked about his book Wilson’s War: How Woodrow Wilson’s Great Blunder Led to Hitler, Lenin, Stalin and World War II, published by Crown Forum. Mr. Powell referred to Woodrow Wilson as the worst president in American history. He argued that instead of making a world safer for democracy, rallying the United States to enter World War I opened the door to communism and murderous tyrants. Mr. Tierney added that Wilson brought no Republicans to the peace treaty talks. After they spoke, the author responded to questions and comments from members of the audience around the table. close
