Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin talked to children at the Buzz Aldrin Elementary School in Reston, Virginia. Mr. Aldrin spoke about his new autobiographical children’s book, Reaching for the Moon, published by HarperCollins, and shared his experiences about growing up during World War II. On July 20, 1969, Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon with fellow astronaut Neil Armstrong. The event was part of a celebration commemorating the tenth anniversary of the school’s opening. close
