The House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Science, and Technology along with the Subcommittee on Management, Integration, and Oversight held a hearing titled “National Training Program: Is Anti-Terrorism Training for First Responders Efficient and Effective?” New York Police Department Commissioner Raymond Kelly testified about the Homeland Security Department coordination of terrorism preparedness training for federal, state, and local government personnel, first responders, and the private sector. He discussed the need for federal funding and the expediting of first responder training. close
