John Ehrman talked about his book The Eighties: America in the Age of Reagan, published by Yale University Press. In the book he examines what affect the 1980s and President Reagan’s presidency had on today’s society. The author argues that Reagan’s leadership provided the major technological advances of the decade as well as the deregulation of major industries and tax code revisions. Mr. Niskanen then commented on the book and talked about the economic policies of the period. Then they responded to questions from members of the audience. close
