The prime minister of India addressed the national Press Club on India-U.S. relations and his perspectives on the changing global economy and geopolitics. He reflected on the aid of the United States in India’s agricultural revolution and on the possibilities of partnership in the current technological revolution. Issues he raised included cooperation in the fight against terrorism, the possibility of permanent membership of the U.N. Security Council for India, and energy policy. He responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. close
