Senator Biden talked about the nomination of Judge John Roberts to the U.S. Supreme Court and the confirmation process as the luncheon address to the American Constitution Society national convention. Senator Biden met with Judge Roberts Wednesday, July 27, 2005 on Capitol Hill and currently sits on the Judiciary Committee which was expected to begin hearings on his nomination on September 6. In his remarks he talked about a nominee’s social and moral values and how they could influence judicial temperament and eventual decisions by a particular nominee.
