Director Brown and Lieutenant General Honore, First U.S. Army (Fort Gillem, GA) Commander, spoke to reporters about Hurricane Katrina response efforts along the Gulf Coast. They talked about relief efforts inside the New Orleans Superdome, security issues, evacuation efforts. They also spoke about search and rescue missions. Lt. Gen. Honore discussed National Guard troop levels in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. Following their remarks, they responded to questions and comments from the reporters. close
