A two-day policy-making forum called “Terrorism, Security and America’s Purpose: Towards a More Comprehensive Strategy” was held to mark the fourth anniversary of the September 11 attack.

During the first day of the forum, Mr. Tom Clancy, the author of more than 20 national-security themed novels and non-fiction books, discussed the U.S. response to terrorism. He gave a talk, titled “Beating Terrorism - or Fueling It? America’s Stakes in Getting its Terrorism Response Right,” and then answered questions from members of the audience. close
