Ambassador Wilkins introduced himself to Canadian journalists and thanked Canada for their support in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. He spoke to the journalists about U.S.-Canada trade relations. He emphasized that the majority of relations were amicable and that negotiating areas of difference such as softwood lumber was more productive than litigating those differences.
