The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell
John Crawford talked about his memoir The Last True Story I’ll Ever Tell: An Accidental Soldier’s Account of the War in Iraq, published by Riverhead Books. He described his experience in the National Guard during the U.S invasion of Baghdad in 2003, explaining that he was called to service while he was on his honeymoon and just a few credits away from earning his bachelor’s degree. He also described his frustration with every extension of his tour of duty. After his presentation he answered audience members' questions. close
