Secretary Rumsfeld and Gen. Myers laid a wreath at the Pentagon Group Burial Marker at Arlington Cemetery on Sunday, September 11, 2005. Before the wreath laying they made brief remarks paying tribute to the heroes and innocent victims who died and to those who continue the fight. Secretary Rumsfeld compared them to the patriots who refused an opportunity to surrender on September 11, 1776 in New York City. After the laying of the wreath and playing of “Taps” there was a blessing and “Amazing Grace” was sung. close
