Robert MacNeil talked about the book he co-wrote with William Cran, Do You Speak American?, published by Nan A. Talese. He talked about his life, personal experiences, the MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour, and detailed his writing career. He also talked about his immigration from Canada and becoming a U.S. citizenship. He detailed his writing career and how he came to write this book and discussed the state of the English language in America.
