Chair Gioia was interviewed about his position, which is nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate, and his most recent book, Disappearing Ink: Poetry at the End of Print Culture, published by Graywolf Press. He said that the National Endowment for the Arts has a budget of about 130 million dollars, making it the largest contributor to the arts in the United States. close
