Nina Berman talked about her book Purple Hearts: Back from Iraq, published by Trolley. The author explained why she decided to take the photographs of wounded Americans who served in Iraq and described how she found the 20 veterans who ended up in her book. The talk took place at the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum where Ms. Berman’s photographs were being displayed. The photographs were highlighted during Ms. Berman’s presentation. Following her presentation, she responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. close
