A Conversation with White House Press Secretaries Students from Pace University (New York, NY), the University of Denver (CO), and George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) participated by video feed in a distance learning class. Former White House Press Secretaries Marlin Fitzwater and Michael McCurry talked to the students about the role of the media, the scope of their position, and the ability to carefully phrase responses. Steve Scully moderated the class and students from each location asked questions of the former press secretaries.
Participating by video feed from outside of the White House, Ann Compton also spoke about the role of the media in covering White House activities.
Several clips from prior programs and news footage were shown.
