Senate Democratic leaders spoke to reporters about their reaction to President Bush’s remarks on terrorism and Iraq at an event hosted by the National Endowment for Democracy to mark the 4th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. In their remarks they criticized the president’s handling of military operations in Iraq, called for greater accountability by the White House for the commitment to the war, and disputed links between terrorist threats to the U.S. and Iraq. They also answered questions from the reporters. close
