Secretary Rice testified about U.S. foreign policy toward Iraq in the fourth hearing on the topic. Among the topics she addressed were the state of security in the country, political progress made by the Iraqi governing council, the nature and length of U.S. commitments in the region, and relations with neighboring countries. She also talked about the recent vote on an Iraqi Constitution and Iraq’s ability to govern its own affairs in the near and long-term future. close
