In his book he discussed the life and career of antifeminist leader Phyllis Schlafly. The author told the story of the mother of six who fought against the Equal Rights Amendment and laws allowing same-sex marriage. Mr. Critchlow further explained that Phyllis Schlafly’s book, A Choice Not an Echo, helped secure Republican Barry Goldwater’s 1964 presidential nomination.
