Telephone lines were open for viewer comments on news of the day. Callers discussed November 8 election night results including the victory of Senator Jon Corzine for the New Jersey gubernatorial election. Election results for the mayoral race in Detroit, Michigan were shown.

Participating by telephone, Mr. Mercurio spoke about incumbent Kwame Kilpatrick’s victory in the mayoral race in Detroit, Michigan. He also spoke about the failure of ballot initiatives in California and the possible effect on Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s re-election attempt in 2006.
