Mrs. Sheehan talked about the milestone reached during the week with the announced death of the 2000th U.S. soldier in Iraq. The total included Sheehan’s son, Casey, whose death led her to camp outside President Bush’s Texas home the past August. In her remarks she talked about the Bush administration’s justifications for war, opposition to the war and continued military presence in Iraq, and her efforts on behalf of various opposition groups. Following her remarks she answered questions from reporters. close
