The Justice Department commemorated the 30th anniversary of the appointment and administration of Attorney General Edward H. Levi. Former and current government officials honored the memory and achievements of the late Attorney General. They also announced the creation of the Edward H. Levi Award for Outstanding Professionalism and Exemplary Integrity.

Edward Hirsch Levi served as Attorney General in the Ford Administration from 1975-1977. He died in 2000 at the age of 88. Following Justice Scalia’s remarks, a photographic tribute of the late Attorney General was shown. close
