New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson was interviewed about his memoir, Between Worlds: The Making of an American Life, published by Putnam. The title refers to Hispanic and white America, the two ethnic cultures that Gov. Richardson has straddled during his political career as the son of an American father and Mexican mother. He talked about his political career. He also talked about his experiences negotiating with representatives of other cultures and his bipartisan efforts. Throughout the program photographs were shown of political situations and of his family. He was interviewed by Chuck Todd, editor-in-chief of The Hotline.

Governor Richardson’s former titles as a public servant include: U.S. Congressman, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and Secretary of Energy under President Clinton.

Chuck Todd oversees The Hotline. Founded in 1987, it is a daily news briefing on politics and campaigns from the National Journal. close
